Related websites for the O’Neills
When I started family history in the mid-1970s, it was hard to find anything about the place where the O’Neills came from, but now there are at least three websites of interest:
- St Mary’s Parish, Greenlough, now centred on the modern church of St Oliver Plunkett at Clady; the website has a detailed history of the parish, and includes photos of the restoration of St Mary’s Church, built in 1841;
- the Discovereverafter website has details and pictures of many of the gravestones in St Mary’s Church graveyard; and
- The National Library of Ireland’s Catholic Parish Registers site contains the microfilmed baptism and marriage registers for the parish.
